FARMHOUSE WITH A VIEW - Remodel

FARM HOUSE WITH A VIEW - was a box shape built on a mostly flat lot carved into a hillside. Our solution began with demolition to push the house to the higher side of the buildable portion of the lot. It was crucial to create a dynamic flow between the interior and exterior along all the edges that faced the garden and the view. Cross axes were designed to create axes of light and space to penetrate an otherwise linear home. This resulted in the dissection of the linear vocabulary using layers of transparency, light, and spatial expansion.
